What a Horrible Day!

We read Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day! We  counted all the bad things that happened to him in one day....28 incidents!! We then discussed mental images, which is a movie playing in your mind from the words of the text. Each child drew a mental image from the story and we sequenced them. They followed up by writing in their journals about a connection they have to Alexander and his very bad day.
