Mathematicians

Today we started our math session by asking the kids what a mathematician is and what one would do. Here are a few of their responses: 

-practice math everyday 

-find several ways to solve a problem

-believe in yourself

-keep trying

-set goals

We then worked with a partner for our first problem solving challenge. This is a review from first grade and the skill was partners of 10, or all the ways to make 10. Please review this with your child as this should be memorized and quickly recalled.
